1 WEEK TO GO!

Just one week to go! This time next week everyone will be gathered together, excited children, carols playing and adults sharing Christmas cheer.  No, Not Christmas day but almost as exciting, The annual school festivities of the Christmas fair.  I would encourasge you to make every effort to attend and bring friends and family.  It is one of the school yearly highlights, a chance for the whole school community to come together and have a lovely time, enjoying being part of an amazing community, help raise some money for our school and of course a chance to get into the festive spirit!
Volunteers are still urgently needed, so if you feel able to volunteer on the day please please please sign up on the sign up rota on the POWSA board next to the school office.  If all the spots are full please add your name to the bottom of the list as we can never have too many volunteers!
Last thing, Dont forget, Non School Uniform day the friday, and please bring a bottle of something or a box of chocolates as the prizes for our ever-so-popular tombola.
Any questions, feel free to ask any POWSA member, or post a comment and I will get back to you.
See you next week.

Christmas Fair

It's that time of year already.  Here at POWSA HQ we are busy planning and organising this years annual festive family fun evening.  So get out your diaries and calenders and put a BIG RED CIRCLE around Friday 7th December, after school onwards.  There will be many an opportunity to play games, have your face painted, win at a tombola and buy those last minute gifts, along with your chance to win some amazing raffle prizes (more details to follow).  Bring your friends and family for a fantastically fun afternoon, the chance to get in the festive mood and help raise money for our fantastic school.

Rag Bag

We have just been informed that since installing the Rag Bag Bin a year ago, we have managed to raise a staggering £402.50!!  This is fantastic news.  A huge thank you to all of you who have donated old clothes, shoes, bedding, towels etc.  An additional special note of thanks to Tim Norris who organised the installation of the rag bag and continues to organise the collection of our donations once the bin is full, Thanks Tim.
Don't let the good work stop there, keep giving and lets see if this year we can beat last years total!

Christmas Pudding's

So it's nearly here, just 5 weeks away, but that is still plenty of time to grab yourself one of the delicious Ultimate Christmas pudding's.  There is only limited stock left, so hurry!  For each Pudding sold, the school receives a proportion of the profit.  Drop into the school office to find out more.

Christmas is coming!

As we are all well aware, Christmas is fast approaching, and along with the Christmas fair, card writing, cake making, mince pie eating, house cleaning and decorating, Christmas party invites, carol concerts and performances (you get the idea!) there is the present shopping.  POWSA can't make this any easier, but we can make you feel a bit better about it by reminding you about easy fundraising.  When you buy on-line from the selected retailers, a small percentage comes to us here at school at no extra cost to you! It free money that we can use to buy the all important items for the children here at The Prince of Wales school.  All you have to do is sign up at easyfundraising.org.uk and get shopping. Please check it out.

Welcome back!

Hi there everyone, hope you all had a fun filled, jam packed half term.
As I'm sure you'll remember, just before we broke up for half term, the school experienced non ICT day.  There are varied reports about computer usage but generally everyone seemed to be very well behaved! Altogether, we collected £27.26, a ruler, 2 rubbers, 3 pencils, a tissue and an i.o.u from Mickey Mouse!  I have been reliably informed that the stationary has been returned to the appropriate classes, the tissue has found the bin and at the time of writing we wait to hear from Mr M. Mouse!
Please keep checking the blog for up to date information about all things POWSA, how you can help and how we spend the money.
Thanks for all your support,
Kate
